Elliot Engineering is actively committed to recruiting and developing new talent while fostering sustainable career paths for our employee owners. We offer training and education through a structured curricula and on-the-job learning to provide high-quality exposure to a wide array of experiences within our industry.
Most new power engineers will start with learning arc flash studies where they will master the fundamentals of short circuit analysis, equipment analysis, coordination, and arc flash energy calculations. Once mastery of these fundamentals is developed, an engineer will begin to learn other systems like relay setting & programming, load flow studies, harmonic studies, power quality, protection and control design, distribution design, and substation design. Lastly, for those more adventurous engineers, we can also train them in field engineering work where we test and maintain electric equipment such as breakers, transformers, and relays.
